Pacific International Line (PIL) opts for STOWMAN stowage planning software

  • General cooperation agreement between PIL and INTERSCHALT
  • PIL fleet to be completely equipped with on board loading computer MACS 3
  • Central stowage planning licence for STOWMAN sold

We are pleased to announce to have entered into a general cooperation agreement with Pacific International Line (PIL) on software solutions for on board loading computers wtih IS seacos MACS3 and central stowage planning with IS seacos STOWMAN. With some 130 vessels (90 owned, 40 chartered) PIL ranks among the top 20 international shipping lines, mainly in intra-asia and asia-africa services. Some 20 planners located in four offices will use the IS seacos stowage planning software STOWMAN to optimize container stowage with regards to capacity and safety regulations.

The agreement
  • All newbuildings will be equipped with IS seacos MACS 3
  • Existing vessels will be retro-fitted to IS seacos MACS 3
  • Central stowage planning will be done with IS seacos STOWMAN software solution

In addition to PIL, INTERSCHALT also has long standing partnership agreements in place with CMA CGM and United Arab Shipping Co. (UASC).
