This course will give advanced theoretical knowledge on physical ship behaviour in different conditions.
Objectives Advanced skills: Evaluation of navigation and manoeuvring in order to avoid dangerous movements like parametric rolling, broaching and surf riding.

  • Theoretical aspects of basic ship theory.
  • Monitoring of vessels movements.
  • Safety precautions and stability examinations under rough weather conditions.
  • Avoiding damages to ship and cargo.
