Preface Training of special situations regarding engine failures. In particular, for situations on rivers, waterways or vessel under pilot, an additional emergency engine management training is necessary.
Objectives Advanced skills: Practical exercises of handling emergencies of all kinds.

  • Emergency management in theory and practice.
  • Engine-teamwork and resource management.
  • Crew organization.
  • Situational awareness.
  • Emergencies occurring during ship's operation, i. e. main engine shut down, engine room fire, electricity break down.
  • Handling of conflicts
  • Training in a real environment engine room simulator
Certificate IMO Model ETM course certificate issued by MET
Comments Course duration and complexity depend on customer requirements and participants state of knowledge. Combination with other courses and topics is feasible.
