Audit and Inspection Database Application

The Audit and Inspection Database has been designed as an efficient and easy-to-use program especially for use by auditors and inspectors of a shipping company. In many companies the planning and reporting of internal audits and inspections is carried out using checklists and notepads. This is where AiDA can take over.

AiDA consists of lists of general and ship-specific items for inclusion in the next audit or inspection. The results of previous audits and inspections are stored in the database and can be used to compare results between visits.

This electronic administration ensures a dramatic reduction in the documentation and paperwork necessary to schedule, plan and prepare audits and inspections; to safely store records; to analyse and compare results; and to control the measures taken as a result of any non-conformities identified.

Using AiDA the crew onboard the vessel (or in other departments) have the possibility to file reports of accidents, damages, non-conformities, or other issues affecting safety and management.
