| Preface |
The familiarization and acquaintance with different navigation and communication equipment as well as the handling of different types of ships is essential knowledge for safe pilotage. Improving the hydrographic and topographic proficiency of the coastal navigation areas. Training and exercising of shiphandling and manoeuvring skills in extreme, uncommon but realistic scenarios is of extreme importance for professional pilots and exclusively practicable in a simulator. |
